Or jailbroken so all the apps are free?

If you mean unlocked for any network then if it is locked to O2 they will unlock it for you for £15, this is the best way as with the other more dodgy unlockings like down the local market, whenever you upgrade the software your phone will lock again.

Go on O2 website and there is a form on there to fill in to get it unlocked. It takes up to 2 weeks for them to unlock it but basically if its a pay as you go sim make sure you have £15 credit on it and 2 weeks later they will take the credit off and it will be unlocked. If its a contract sim it will be on your bill.

Then you just plug it in to your itunes and you'll have a message saying congratulations your phone has been unlocked.

With jailbreaking im not too sure as ive not done that with my phone and i think its a bit dodgy as things can go wrong so im not going to jailbreak mine.

If you are locked to another network then im not sure how the unlocking works, maybe try looking on their websites to see if they do a similar thing to O2.

Hope that helps
