i think larger places may have specific pharmacy nurses,

we have filled the position nick mentioned with a qualified nurse as this was one of our main criteria this time round,

We have a pharmacy nurse. I don't know if she has any further qualifications but she dispenses all the drugs (work in a large referral centre).

I think with a lot of practices being quite small, there isn't a real need for a pharmacy nurse. I worked at a large general practice and there was a rota as to which nurse would put up the drugs once the vet had prescribed them but this didn't take up a lot of time each day.

Did consider it at one point, but don't fancy 3 years at uni and even more debt to pay off!

sqp can be done if a layman or qualifed and to be honest is a waste of time ok if you wanted to do all the letters it may be of use but as a c it isnt. So dont worry about that and certainly if you want to do c it is a doddle and you wont break sweat. Our exam was all the questions inc. the essay in the example paper work sent out l am sure they must have changed it but l mean come on to do that for your main exam was ridiculous

I know that Liverpool university were after a pharmacy nurse a few months ago, not sure if they filled the position or not? and not sure they would take you as a qualified pharmacy tech. You thought about doing the full degree???
