The only reason i know this is i showed bichon frise for years and my dad wanted to buy pink dye as he thought it would be funny! i agree it looks professionally done and yes the constant bathing could possibly annoy the poor thing but when you see dogs deliberately being starved and much worse you really wish they would concentrate on these cases more!

Re: I know this is cruel but I couldn't help but think cute!

www.youtube.com/watch

Did nobody see the Pimms advert ?

I have seen a blue shi tzu and an orange Maltese and know of two parlours local to me who would do this at owners request - its not that uncommon. I would agree it looks like it has been professionally done.

I suppose a cat that has had to put up with this being done and then repeated baths to try and get rid of it is going to be a upset with life. ( I dont count my own in this as they spend as much time as poss either in water or playing with water)

Re: I know this is cruel but I couldn't help but think cute!

I agree it looks professionally done.

My Mother is a dog groomer and told me that she could order (If she wanted to! She doesn't!) safe dyes to colour animals ridiculous colours like the pink poodles people seem to like in parts of America (and maybe other countries?) where it's accepted to dye pets.

I agree with Kim. Have had some cats in that have not even been able to move their heads due to the matts. Owners don't seem to grasp that long haired cats and dogs require a lot of dedication and this is cruelty as well as ignorant.

Re: I know this is cruel but I couldn't help but think cute!

There saying it could be part of sick prank, but it looks professionally done to me. Like they siad they've avoided the eyes and nose, if it was a prank they may not have done that, and it would have been patchy. It's not the worst cruelty case by far.
