I contacted the RCVS directly about this last week as I have a transition student.
My student was told by her college tutor that 'she couldn't start her NPL as she hadn't been on her clinical coach training and therefore had not trained up the other staff members!'.

The RCVS however said that enrolments will be sorted by the college's in the next couple of weeks. Transition students will be able to log in and will only have access to certain tasks anyway. All of this has been decided apparently.
I think (from the info I got) that anything in the NVQ 2 portfolio will be removed so they wont have to again prove practical competence.

I could be wrong?

...you are exempt from units 1-7 but will find that a lot of other work done in NVQ 2 is covered in the other units and can be claimed via RPL

im on transition course, started back last week. I have no idea bout NPL yet, no passwords or log on, or very much info as to what units we're covering.
