&lt;p&gt;if you are using meddis, it is extremely &amp;nbsp;important to allow the tubes (especially the red magill type) to soak in clean cold water for 1 hour at least after sterilisation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;over the years&lt;b&gt; i have seen problems from the misuse of meddis&lt;/b&gt;, ranging from a horse dying, to cats with&amp;nbsp;rattly&amp;nbsp;chests, both attributed to incorrect rinsing of et tubes after meddis.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;i currently use&amp;nbsp;Milton. &lt;b&gt;the red&amp;nbsp;Magill&amp;nbsp;tubes can be autoclaved, at 121 degrees&lt;/b&gt; (just have the take off the connectors)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ooooh - that&amp;#39;s interesting to know! We currently use Medizyme, soaked then scrubbed with the little brush bottle things and a nail brush, followed by Meddis soak for at least 30 mins and a good rinse.&lt;/p&gt;
