This is Harley my harlequin-mix rescue bunny.
He usually has a very sweet nature, and is quite well bonded with me & my hubby after spending 6 months as a house-bunny when he last wife-bun died.
Last summer we found him & succesfully bonded

Re: Grumpy Bunny :(

That sounds positive, hope he carries on improving

Hehe, don't be embarassed about talking to Anne! Her and her hubby are lovely She wouldn't think badly of you at all!

Re: Grumpy Bunny :(

He's getting teeny bit better these last few days, I had him inside the other night & thouroughly checked him over (much to his disgust) nose to tail & couldn't find the slightest thing wrong, so I'm happy it's not anything clinically wrong with him so-to-speak.

I do wonder that maybe it might've been heightened by them not going out in the garden quite as much in the last month or so, they have been out pretty much everyday these last 2 weeks, but before then, we were getting that pretty horrific weather, so maybe it was just that lack of contact/handling during that period that did it.

I managed to catch him on my own in the garden tonight (despite large bump!) much to my hubby's suprise too! and he quite happily & very gently/nicely took a corb cob from me for his supper.

So..fingers crossed he's getting a bit better.

Vicky - with re to speaking to Ann, I'd be a bit embarassed to be honest! as the last time I met her, I was explaining to her what a brilliantly behaved bunny he was & telling her how I'd managed to train him to be lifted on command, as suggested in a talk of her's I'd been to a year previously.
She was thrilled & asked me to email her a video of him for her to use in future talks. I've never actually got round to it, hopefully if his behaviour continues to improve & I can get him to start doing it again I'll get round to sending it off - and hopefully he can be famous!

Re: Grumpy Bunny :(

How is he now Rachel? Any improvement?

Re: Grumpy Bunny :(

Hmm...maybe get in contact with Anne McBride, she's fab with rabbit behaviour.

Re: Grumpy Bunny :(

He's 2 and a half, and neutered.

No recent trauma I can think of, other than hitting his head on the fence the other day when he lept out of my hubby's arms as he was carrying him up the garden, and also on the roof of the hutch one day too, but he hasn't suffered any ill effects otherwise from those incidents, didn't appear dazed or painful at the time etc.

He is wriggly & awkward with hubby too, but not quite so angry.

Today out on the lawn he actually growled at me when I walked past him in the run

Re: Grumpy Bunny :(

How old is he?
I do check them all over regularly & his incisors are fine.

Their new toy at the moment is a willow wigwam that they've been happily destroying, so I'd hope it wasn't teeth.

He's otherwise eating well...

Re: Grumpy Bunny :(

Could there be an undelying pain cause - has he had his teeth checked lately etc etc?
