I've realised this could be interpreted as though I was saying 'don't report it'. I believe all adverse reactions should be reported.

The point I was trying to make was that Faye shouldn't be concerned about causing trouble for the makers of Advantix as mild and rare reactions to a drug are highly unlikely to prompt any punitive action from the regulators. Of course, if people don't report mild (mild as in not life threatening! I'm sure Faye's poor dog wouldn't consider what happened to her as 'mild') reactions then, as Caro & Vicky have pointed out, the makers will have no idea there's a problem and it wont get dealt with. I wasn't a VN when I used it on my dog and, although I informed the practice, I don't think it got reported. Maybe I should have made more of a fuss!

Hope your dog is comfier now, Faye. (Yes, I have edited this post as originally put 'Vicky' here! I can't even claim it was the end of a busy day ....)

I agree. If things aren't reported then nothing will be done because they don't know about it.

The point on reporting it is that notice needs to be taken. Going via the company it will be a general add going via the report route means it will get sorted properly.

You get the adverse reaction forms out of the back of the NOAH compendium. Possibly able to download of NOAH site but never looked for it there.

weve had 2 clients whos animals have had the same reaction, we got in touch with manufacturer and they refunded money and made not of the problems

My lurcher couldn't be given spot on treatments as she reacted to the carrier oils - skin became bright red, luckily never started to exude which I think might be happening with your dog as your piccie reminds me of wet eczema or a 'hot spot'. She was absolutely fine with Frontline spray.
