We got a crummy poster and a letter saying thanks for taking part. Total bs I think to expect us to give our time for free and not be able to pass on any free stuff to our clients. I know a lot of our clients appreciate hte checkup but it would be nice to be able to give them some of the tooth paste for free as well to further ensure owner compliance- if they get the first sample for free and see how easy it is i would have thought they would be more up for carrying on.

We just did our own display in the end- it looks wicked colourful lol

Its Pedigree who have pulled out of Pet Smile Month, they used to supply the Dentastix and dentabits, so, no freebies this time!

We have lots of Dentasix left over from Oral Care month, earlier in the year but nothing for the kitty checks, we have just made up our own little pack of Logic samples etc to try and have a mini goody bag for clients!

i havent even got the posters an leaflets luckly put my own up but not really got anything to give out to clients other than some dental books and charts

We still have (in date!) doggy dental packs from last year! We have been giving them out after dentals. We only ran out of kitty packs last week! We had boxes and boxes delivered last year!

I don't think we have registered this year, but for those of you on the look out for freebies, we have a few boxes of logic samples, which we also give out post dental so may be worth contacting their rep (Ceva??) Plus as a Hills practice, we get TD samples to give out post dental too.

Our last pet smile month we had so many boxes of pedigree dental stick.. even £1 off coupons for dental sticks.. but nothing this time.. just leaflets and posters!

I'm pretty sure it was Royal Canin who withdrew from sponsoring... can't remember the exact reason, but it was due to some kinda disagreement with the Pet Smile people I'm sure.

The last Pet Smile I did when I was in private practice, we got LOADS of stuff from the Per Smile people, however, we opened all the bags up & threw out the books that they sent, the boss refused for them to be given out, as the "dental specialist" bloke who'd written it described how for dental surgery to be done properly, your vet should be doing full skull xrays etc & lots of other costly work-ups before going anywhere near the mouth, basically dictating how to perform dentals "correctly".....

I dont think the other was pet smile, wasnt it dental awareness or something- trying to creste competition for pet smile maybe? Not sure. Anyway pretty naff that no freebies as everyone expected them as had them previous years.

I'm sure there was one around March time. We got tonnes of free packs of Dentastix to give away which went down well. Nothing this time round though. Just posters and leaflets. Not that enticing really.

Yes there was one in march i think which did the bags but I didnt sign up to as didnt know about it and this one without freebies, bit naff really as nothing to give clients.

Really? Who pulled out? I missed the deadline to sign up. The goody bags were usually a hit. Mind, there appears to be 2 pet smile/dentist events a year now, wasn't there one earlier this year?
