i worked in a vets were they put a sugg box in waiting room. only sugg we got was to lower our prices. was not very helpfull!!

Goodness Steph....didn't know it was so quiet there...we've been chocka for the last 2 weeks...really full - 12-15 cases a day. Lots of routines, lots of investigations, stitch-ups and loads of hospitalised small furries - mostly rabbits...try putting some info on Gumtree too...i'm a big fan of Gumtree. Posting an ad is free. How about a fundraising open day/ family fun day for a local animal charity? You may be able to get a FOC write up in the local rag, and it will give people a chance to come and look round the practice, get info on your offers etc?

Leaflet dropping / newpaper is a good idea - thanks .. but do you know of any other offers we can introduce - that can replace what we've got already?

Have you thought about advertising in the local paper free of charge weight checks/puppy checks/flea checks etc? price promos have worked for us before-cheaper dentals/neuters/vacs for a month. leaflet dropping or adverts with promos generally get people interested. Talking to the local newspaper about interesting cases can also work as free advertising!
