&lt;p&gt;But in CT we perform a QC check every day. using a Phantom. This is the same&amp;nbsp;density as a human brain. A QC is usually run to ensure that the machine is running correct and giving out the correct information (images).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In CT images are measured in Hounsfield units &amp;nbsp;(after the name of the&amp;nbsp;creator). every tissue in the body has a different Honsfield unit. If a QC was not performed wrong information could be given out.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; Maybe contact your local hospital who have Nuclear Medicine facilities. Alternatively I could ask one of the radiographers at work for you.&lt;/p&gt;
