It has just been released in the UK but is currently only available to iPhone users x

Only works on iPhones in the UK i think, cos i have a tab on my mobile facebook page on my phone but it doesnt work when i click on it. I have a HTC Magic android google phone. So i suppose ive no need for FB places cos i have google maps at the touch of a button with GPS signal. lol

Yup, it's the same Facebook but the software for Places wasn't ready for the UK at the same time as the US.

I've got friends in the UK who have posted locations, so it must be filtering through. Its all the same facebook, surely, or we wouldn't be able to connect to people in US?

Thanks - done! I too have heard its only US at the moment but that they have plans to roll out to the UK - so am glad for the reminder to do it whilst I'm sat at the PC
