On the bbc news report the police said they are leaving it with the RSPCA as she hasn't comitted a criminal offence, so I think that's why they're now persuing the welfare angle instead ??

Sounds like a lot of grey areas to me!

this is stupid, i dont know why the rspca are involed this is a police matter as a criminal offence has been commited, dispite what people think and what the rspca portray their powers are extremly limited and they are not the police on the other hand if i was that lady i would be bricking it

Yeah, I ditto the comment about the RSPCA - if the midlands branch is anything like Wales & West, the complaint against her will probably be "filed" and they'll go round to see her sometime next year...

I say let the general public have her.....

Apparently the police are offering her protection because of the death threats she's received! .... that's crazy she just shouldn't have done it!!!

The RSPCA 'speaking to her' is about as far as it will go, I bet... I hope her full name and address gets posted all over the fecking internet...

However, check out this video of a dog saving his pal that had been hit by a car (3 times!) - unfortunately the dog died but it pulled at my heartstrings somewhat.

Good enough quality that someone will recognise her - seems that Sky News have picked up the story so hopefully will get enough publicity to find her. :(
