&lt;p&gt;yeah O tubes can be left in from 2 days to several months if needed, feeding via the tube can be started ~4-8 hours post placement and should initially consist of 1/3 daily req going up to 2/3 after 24 hours and then up to full amount after another 24 hours to reduce risk of re-feeding syndrome&lt;/p&gt;
