could it be a cholangio-hepatitis, have you tried her on a course of ab's? ideally in this case you would get a bile aspirate for culture to see if it is a bacterial cause, but pros worth sticking her on some just in case.

could be worth changing diet to a more hepatic friendly diet (not sure what she is being fed at the moment) not nec a true hepatic diet just one that has the correct protiens in

Re: Hepatic neutracuticals?

I have used Denamarin, Doxion & Zentonil in my dog. Haven't tried Hepatosyl (?)

Denamarin - you can get chewable & tablet form - my dog didn't eat the chewable but takes the tablets no problem. Her liver enzymes were back within normal limits within a week, after being on Zentonil. Like this a lot!!

Zentonil is supposed to be palatable but she won't take it, we had to fight every night to get it down her & in fact her liver enzymes went up on it.

The Doxion was fine but more expensive.

Denamarin is supposed to be a better drug becuase of stability or something like it but thats what the company says and I always think you have to go with what your dog likes.
