I am not actually sure what it is you are asking..... do you want a fluid rate...ie/ mls/hr for blood transfusion, or do you want to know how to calculate blood loss?

Hi,

I am not sure there is a specific calculation, which would explain why you're having difficulty finding one. But I could be wrong. Aren't you supposed to weigh the blood lost and replace it at 3 times (1g = 1ml) the volume lost presuming the animals TP and PCV are within normal ranges. And then I think if it is more than 10% blood volume lost you would need to replace with whole blood.
