Thanks Sal - that is the stuff. I did think it was funny too but then there is always more than one use for all these crazy meds. Will try again with NVS or if not at least the pharmacist may be able to help a bit more

I asked the pharmacist who said that in humans it is mainly used for haemorroids and I guess there are enough other preparations (excuse the pun) out there - and because of the human side effects it's no longer the preferred tx option. Haven't heard of GTN spray - will look into that one - thank you

yes my mother used to have it - now has GTN spray or tablets

Percutol is HORRIBLE!!!! lol its expands the blood vessels i think to increase the blood flow thats why is gives you migraines but i used it once on me as my gran has it and i thought it was just gel stuff so used it as i had an itchy arm...boy did i regret that!! I think a pharmacy or something would be best for that as i dont think it can be ordered via dunlops or nvs anymore.

Ive been told it gives you migraines , but ive never touched the stuff so i dunno if its true. Ours has gone out of date too, we didnt use it that often tho.

Surely they will have an alternative generic product?

Haven't used that stuff in years!!! I remember being told you MUST wear gloves when handling it, or you may faint... and one nurse testing that

She didn't faint btw! But I never really understood why she even tried it!
