Yes, He has EIC syndrome...

Poor thing. Cant be treated, just monitored when exercised. He's only 10 months old.... Has anyone else heard of it then before... This nurse's dog underwent muscle biopsies and MRI scans and blood tests.

Hey Caro, you beat me to it.

EIC is most common in Collies and Labradors, there is a blood test that can be done and sent to the states to see if the animal is a carrier of the condition. Not always a black and white answer with this though.

Mycelia Gravis (can't remember how to spell it) is something different, I can't fully remember the difference but when my dog was trying to diagnosed it was between MG, EIC and FCE.... jargon buster needed!! lol...

Is it myasthenia Gravis?? I remember seeing a dog about 10 years ago with something similar and the vet said it was the above condition but I really don't know an awful lot about it, sorry

Hiya,

My lab was nearly diagnosed with it but it turns out he just has a neuro-muscular problem. It's very common in labs and I think most of the research has been in the states.
