Incurin: treats hormone responsive incontinence in spayed bitches by sensitising the urethral smooth muscles to alpha 1 adrenergic stimulation. (Because this is hormone based dogs can sometimes look like they are in season to other dogs).

There is also a newer drug called Enurace, that has a dual claim. Like Propalin it works on the alpha 1 receptors of the sphincter but it also works on the alpha 2 receptors in the bladder wall.

Enurace and Propalin can be used for all causes of incontinence, Incurin works only on incontinence caused by hormone deficiency. You can use Enurace and Incurin together if needed.

Cheers!
