I know for a fact that AAS do a deal whereby if you buy a number of the blankets you get a free warming unit!

We didnt used to reuse, used to charge to client. If you buy so many blankets over a year you will get a free warming unit!

We have a bair hugger too and I have been hunting for the washable blankets after hearing about them but couldn't find a supplier. Where do you get yours from?

I agree - bair hugger all the way - rarely get a post op temp below 37. Nick put me onto AAS medical for the blankets - they are great and machine washable. They sent me some free samples and I am exceedingly impressed - by the way thanks Nick!!!

We got ours from Veterinary Instrumentation but be warned they are rather expensive. We got a set of 3 (s, m & l) and they were £160

Not really keen on wheat bags have seen patient get burns from these (and heard of patients eating them) and most heat pads are pressure activated.
