Thanks Vikki, i always had the sneaking suspicion that my CV went straight in the bin despite what they say about keeping it on file. It's good to know that i'm wrong about that one, as i've sent enough of the things out.

Keep an eye out on the jobs section on this site. Ask around your local vets to see if you can do any volunteer work/reception work so you can get your foot in the door. And send out lots of CVs, that's how i got my job as some practices will keep hold of your CV and then contact you if a vacancy comes up.
