I'm absolutely gutted, we got him when I was 10 and he was our first ever dog. He had such a lovely nature and we could do anything with him.

I also can't express how angry I am at the original vet for not taking me seriously and for being happy to let him continue the way he was going. It worries me how many others are taking their animals to her and not getting the treatment they need because they don't know any better.

My only consolation is that I got to see him before the end, and was able to point my family in the right direction with regards to treatment. I know that he spent his last few days in good hands and that we did everything we could for him, but it doesn't make me any less heartbroken

Re: More geriatric dog problems...

Is he getting any Cerenia?? He's not been vomiting so that's an improvement, just need to get him eating! I'm so much happier knowing that he's being properly looked after, I was getting so frustrated with the original vet not taking me seriously at all.

Re: More geriatric dog problems...

Glad he's had a good night, let us know how he is when you've seen him
