&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve always seen abscesses left open to drain fully and find dressing them slows the healing process down.&amp;nbsp; Can you maybe just pop a buster collar on him instead to prevent patient interference?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Could also put a urinary catheter in and a cap so not leaking then empty at regular intervals. He kept scraping himself along the ground, which meant the wound was not healing and kept bleeding, so we used the baby pull ups. Maybe you could suture allevyn to the inside of one of those. &lt;p&gt;I only ask because I&amp;#39;ve seen some vets suture wounds on animals with just a little LA round the site!&lt;/p&gt;
