This
means that any embolism was likely not too recent and that fibrinolysis
is not ongoing. So she can go onto asprin as there are no clots to
breakdown.

Wibble and l are awaiting the order of viagra l
sent off for last night. The active ingredient Sildenafil has been
found to be excellent in treating Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)
which Wibble has, probably from her thrombus.

I have seen
viagra in action over the last couple of weeks. We had a poodle in 2
weeks ago with very high pulmonary pressures and at retest last week,
after one week of viagra the pressure had dropped by half.

There
is no guarantee that the tablets will work as well or at all on Wib but
without trying we won’t know. I was a bit worried when Mike J said
viagra as it is horrendously expensive but the generic is fine.
My
other problem will be to break a 100mg tablet into small pieces as they
are to big but l could not get smaller ones, ahh well l have a tablet
cutter and glasses.

I will get her started on the viagra first
and let her get used to that check that there are no side effects then
the asprin after a week or two if all goes well with the viagra.

Only had emails so not had a chance to talk to Mike will do when l get the chance will update you then.

Reason I ask is, your dogs symptoms sound very similar to a dog I had years ago(a bit breathless, but like you I put it down to the heating, and she had gained a few lbs after neutering....although she was not obese), she was a young CKC 6 yrs old, no heart problems surprisingly, anyway I came home from shopping one day to find her dead in my kitchen, she had been eating the cats food, as this was still present in her mouth, so whatever it was, it was sudden, and she obv had no feeling of illness, otherwise she would not have been stealing the cats food. She was lying in a pool of blood which had emmited from the mouth, and it looked like it had come from a rupture of a major vessel (there was a huge pool). I was offered a PM on her, but I declined...but obv thinking back and I have done a few times, I wish I had had this done. This is Pip when she was a puppy, with Alf my cat, they died within a day of each other.I lost Alf to antifreeze poisoning, the day after Pip died.
