ROLFMAO poor lad sounds like odie from Garfield?

Wibs is now on natures best it is all organic, no colouring etc and no more dry food and no butchers tripe is she still welcome to stomach on legs?

Eric (well I think that is what he is called these days) is only welcome if he comes with Butchers tripe or similar (chappie is sort of ok but Pal in gravy is better) and B doesnt really recognise him as a dog - his words 'as a dog he is a bit like a phone without its sim card - bloody useless'

Oh yes l remember. I walked into the kitchen looking for the kettle and made coffee morions then leapt (literally) onto Jasper and pinned the sod screaming to you to hurry up as l had the sod!

I still can not belive you locked the poor guy in there with the cats from hell. Morris fine but gods sake Jas is well psychotic. Some friend you are!!!

Woow thats now 2 dogs allowed in the house where will it stop? l sort of see Morris absailing out the window and coming home with a dog hamering on the door and passing you the lasoe rope and awaiting the extra food.

Carolyn - do you recall the time we tried to clip Jaspers nails? Even now I can only clip a couple at a time when the little git is asleep! And fat Morris is no better - I have the scars to prove it!

A vet friend of mine visited in November - he wanted a favour of me, so of course i said yes and in return I asked him to bring a couple of vaccines for 'the boys'. When he arrived I shut him in the kitchen with the pair of them until he had given the vaccinations - took about 10 mins... and the boys have forgiven him, they are bestest mates again now. Esp Morris when he brings the dog with him because dog = dogfood and to Morris it might as well be caviar

With my old Poca l used to gas her down every so often. She was a BITCH otherwise.

We also suffer from lots of clients wanting their dogs nails clipped when they don't really need doing. I think the worst ones have got to be (tends to be little dogs) the ones that get soooo stressed they empty their anal glands all over you to show how much they care!

With nails the thing that annoys me the most are probally the cat owners that want their cats nails doing so that they stop snagging their clothes etc - what about the fact they may need them to climb the 6ft fence when they are off trying to escape from the neighbours dog?!?!

Have also seen quite alot of old cats recently (3 in the last week) where at least one nail has grown all the way around and through the pad, had one that had gone through the pad and back out again the other side, poor things must be sooo sore

Oh... The horrid nails!!!!

I hate them..... but seem to get loads when im on nurse clinics!! And most of them being Black nails!!!

Love doing them under GA/Sedate tho!!

I remember that we used to file our dog's black nails, weekly as necessary. Except the dew claws that we kept cliped. We also made sure that they walked on concrete to wear them down ( as we found tarmac is to soft to wear the claws down)

I hate nail clips but like everyone suffer them.
Tooth clips l won't do them. Having done emergency for all those years rabbit teeth did not enter into life. Now if one is in a nurse clinic l am doing l arrange to get one of the other nurses or vet to do it out the back.

hurray for us nurses!

In a previous practice, a very large animal orientated vet had the privilige of doing morning consults, one of them was a nail clip, nails were all black and I'm sure he bled every one of them. Poor dog went home with all 4 feet in bandage and as the owners didnt live very far away, I had to go up at lunchtime to see how the poor dog was!

ooh i love it when that happens sal! We had one the other day where the vet was certain that we would never clips its nails concious so me and a nurse took it outside and clipped its nails no problem! just needed to get it out of the surgery. vet didnt believe us till he saw it!

we had a dog in today that the vet wanted to admit for sedate and nail clip. He brought the dog through the back while I ran round the front of the building and caught the owner as they were leaving and asked her to wait. Myself and the other nurse then with tremendous 'gentle persuasion' managed to clip its nails and send it on its way. The vet was speechless!

sounds like great fun sal! I hate nail clips when they really dont need it but the owner is certain that I have to cut them then moans to everyone when i dont!

How about the vet that calls you into the consult for nail clip to 'help hold the dog' when an actual fact, they hold the dog and you do the nail clip! Why??? Because the nails are black and vet doesnt want to bleed them. Oh how sneaky!!!

naa its when you get the little cute bichon, and it takes 3 of you to pin it down to clip the nails
