Took him to my old practice as OOH earlier this evening as he's really not himself
On NYE I took him out for a walk in his favourite local park & he was quite happy running about, got very dirty (he's white!), however

Re: Poorly Spot Dog :'(

[quote user="Rachel Jayne"]

Hi,

So glad he is now feeling better reading to the end of the post.

I'm fasinated by the dog play pen idea. What size area is this and do you have to pay to use it? I would love to be able to take my dog to one as I'm unable to let him off the lead at the moment he is a rescue and he does'nt do recalls very well despite persistant training, so an area that was safe for him to have a good time and freedom would be great.

Re: Poorly Spot Dog :'(

Cute pic!

Re: Poorly Spot Dog :'(

Hey, thanks for asking

Took him in & they ran a DHP - he has high (2224) lipase & high wbc's.
Boderline high Urea, ALB & TP, but then he's not been eating, and was slightly dehydrated.

Vet not worried that the lipase is high enough to be pancreatitis, but likely indicative of a gut infection, especially seen as he'd been passing mucoid d+, and his temperature was even higher today; 40c

Have started him on 400mg Metronidazole bid, am to take his temperature again tomorrow & let them know. Poor lil guy, no wonder he felt so crap with a temperature like that!!

He's a little perkier since he's been home, he's been stretched out on his sofa on his pillow, & I put a throw over him, as he appeared to be shivering a bit (feverish I guess).
A fly buzzed past his nose & he shot his head up trying to catch it, plus he's been barking at my neighbour walking past the front door too, so is obviously feeling a bit better!

Re: Poorly Spot Dog :'(

My for him. Give him a cuddle from me x

Re: Poorly Spot Dog :'(

hope it goes ok . good luck

Re: Poorly Spot Dog :'(

Right, I've had enough of worrying about him.
