Does anyone know about VetPhone? There's a job advertised that my friend is interested in and she would like to know if it's worth her while! Kind of like a Nursing Triage phoneline, which you can do from home!!
Thanks!

Re: VetPhone

I worked for them for 4 years. It's a satisfying job but also frustrating at times as depending on the shift you're on the phone can literally ring continually it seems. As soon as 1 call answered you have set time to input all the data and complete the call.......and then another call comes through immediately. So can either be very busy or can be very quiet. Pay wasn't too bad per hour but we did push for a pay rise which was supposed to be reviewed (due to what we're all going through in practice - recession) so it may have increased by now as I left Nov last year.

You're reviewed regularly on your work and have chances of extra shifts at times. As with any call centre type work you get the good calls and bad calls. So it's worth applying and see how you get on with it. Some struggled with computer side of it but if your friend has basic pc skills then that fine and you do have back up support to call if needed.

Hope it goes well.

P.S. Forgot as well they've started running CPD for the staff. It gives everyone a chance to meet up and say hello as well as we were all spread wide and far across UK. (from Cornwall to Scotland).

Re: VetPhone

Hi Jen!

Long time no speak! One of the girls I used to work with works for them. From what shes said they seem to be alright to work for. Pretty flexible with shifts. Sounds like she's usually quite busy with them but they seem to have quite a good support network.

Re: VetPhone

See here on the old site for info
