Vets Now glasgow may be looking for animal care assistants either now or in the near future. It would be worth contacting them. www.vets-now.com They are based in Charing X (about 5 - 10 min walk from the train station/sauchiehalll street). Also, try the PDSAs in Glasgow. I think there have been a few changes recently.

You thought about contacting the university??? They have just opened a new hospital, so they may need an extra pair of hands......

Would be a great place to work, you'd learn soooo much.

Thank you for pointing that one out ... i did see it but i live in Glasgow and cannot drive so it would be difficult for me to get to Fife everyday.

To be honest with you i havent thought that far ahead at the moment i just want to work within animal care, i maybe decide to train as a vet nurse in the future. I have noticed that training positions are hard to find especially in Scotland.

I'm affraid Positions within practices with training are becoming harder and harder to find. Are you planning on training as a Veterinary nurse??? As they are changing the way nurses will be trained as of next year, and currently no information is available as to the type of qualification or indeed how it will be studied etc....
