Am currently typing up a caselog for an exotic anaesthetic and not sure exactly what circuit we used for the little guinea pig.
Can any help?

No point in speaking to the practice manager as he is my assessor and as for speaking to college I did this for all of my first year and the best they could do was to reduce him down to only having one student (ie me!) thou this doesn't seem to have helped. I'm sure I will get there.

If it wasn't for you guys in the last two years I wouldn't have finished my Level Two portfolio.

We'll see how I go, just spent most of last night in tears over it. Don't fancy another year of this

Hey there

Hope you get your assessor soon.

Don't mean to sound picky but.....

Don't forget there are two main types of T-Pieces available (well 3)

Ayres T-Piece: No reservoir bag, just an open tube to the environement (GREAT )

Jackson-Rees Modified Ayre's T-Piece: The addittion of an open ended bag, allowing for IPPV to be performed and also addition of scavenging! (YAY )

Of the latter type you may also see a few where a valve has been added (I prefer this type as there no risk of the bag twisting and occluding) these turned up in veterinary anaesthesia from paediatric anaesthesia.

if you have issues with your assesor, speak with your practice manager, or your college. They will help, and they wont have to know it was you that voiced your concerns

If you need anymore help, esp with case logs etc, im sure there are plenty of nurses on here that will help you :) (me included!)
