The owner clips them regulary. The skin and coat are really good and the dog is just in really good condition. I have heard of hyperkeratosis being related to canine distemper (on the foot pads?)</p> <p>Maybe dabbing a bit of baby oil on the area will help - or bath the dog in Aloe &amp; oatmeal shampoo? </p> <p>Sorry not much help</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
