Apparently the owner has been applying lots of topical preparations but the pony grazes in a semi wild place so cannot wear a boett.
She is possibly pregnant so I've been told. I was wondering

Re: sweet itch

[quote user="FINNIGAN"]

i know this sounds weird but worked on my daughters pony after trying benzobenzoate first! we spray on Avons skin so soft skin spray, it kept those blasted midges away that caused the pony to itch the mane off, still use it to this day!!!

we use this a lot in the US but not used the UK formula. works very well even diluted.

Just looked on the net and seems as though you can still get it, used to get mine from Boots but I'm sure that now they would be a little funny about using on an animal?

Re: sweet itch

there used to be one called 'switch' I think which I have used but this is many years ago as I have nothing to do with horses these days.
