Was wondering if anyone had any experience of working here, what shifts they do, do the nurses specialise? Do they have dedictaed night nurses? I am thinking of applying there to broaden my experience and possibly do further training.

Thanks for the info, Jenny, but having spent a few months working away, I'm hoping to find somewhere a bit closer to home now! I'll definitely bear it in mind, though.

Re: Willows Referrals, Solihull

There is a open day tomorrow from 11-5pm for their new purpose built building

I'm the practice manager at Willows and we are always happy for nurses to telephone and chat to our Nurse Manager - Debbie Lynch before they apply. The current rota runs on a 10 week basis with one full duty weekend and one Saturday morning every 10 weeks. The nurses also stay on premises once a fortnight (always a minimum of two on site in our lovely new flats). At the moment we dont have dedicated night nurses, the staff staying on premises dont start until 5 and then they work through to 11 and later if necessary. The new disciplines are already becoming very busy and I think we will need staff working full night shifts in the near future. Our nurses rotate between the disciplines to gain experience in all specialisms and also keep their confidence up in all areas. There is a lot of support for new staff with mentoring and a very structured induction, we also actively encourage further CPD, with many of our nurses studying for their diplomas, so please feel free to give us a call and even come and visit on an informal basis in the first instance.

Good luck with your career
