&lt;p&gt;Good result for jasmine - mast cell tumour removed and margins are all clear!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Jasmine recovered VERY well from her op and is now back in her favourite spot on the back garden.She has also developed a liking for coley!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Been a stressful week , thanks to all for messages of support,confirms my belief that VN&amp;#39;s are very special people&lt;/p&gt;

It was the owner that found it and brought it in to a nurses clinic because she thought it was as a result of a tick bite - but to me didnt look like a tick rxtn. Sent the cat across to the vet in case they thought it needed treating and FNA was taken. (sent two slides out and kept one for my slide library) - have just looked up the slide and its diagnosis this one wasnt graded either&amp;nbsp; (sorry have edited post the grade 2 was on the next slide in the library which was canine). &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I know we were worried that we would not be able to get the rec margins at removal ( I think it was suggested 3 cm diameter around the the site and 3 cm deep looking at my notes&amp;nbsp;- which just aint possible on a cats head)&amp;nbsp;but histo came back ok and as far as I know this cat has had no further problems, and as I see this cat fairly regularly because it is one I rehomed to a friend so guess they would be very quick to tell me?&lt;/p&gt;

My last practice had a phase of MCTs in cats (well, about 4 but still a high number in cats!). However unlike with some dogs, the surgical excisions were all complete with no further treatment needed. Don&amp;#39;t know a great deal about these tumours in cats though so whether this is the norm I don&amp;#39;t know.&lt;/p&gt;
