Never used Drontal for it. The only Giardia treatment I know is 3 days of Panacur then repeat after 3 weeks. With heavy infestations, 5 days repeat after 3 weeks. Empty litter tray completely daily. Clean then pour just boiled water around the tray. Heat will kill off the cysts. Better still, if you have a steam cleaner. Make sure you wash the hair around the anus too as the cysts can cling to the hairs and when they clean themselves they will digest the cysts and start the cycle again. Or Metronidazole.
