after reading things on this site i was a bit nervous about ever contacting rig but yesterday i gave in and applied for a trainee position. So far so good. Called me this morning very helpful and informative but i suppose i should wait and see!! Heres hoping though!

- if things are changing for the better, and if they are sincere - all well and good, but we aren't going to know this until we give them a chance . If having given them a fair chance people are still unhappy then ..... but it could always go the other way?

Well, I think Rig feels they are trying to be helpful when they reply to people on this forum to let them know when they have a specific job available. Not everyone will think to check their website. But I can see also that it might appear to be self serving, and if you think it is not a good idea, then do say so.

I have to say that I agree with Spud rig do not give anything back to nurses by posting helpful info that I have ever seen.

that is a very good rule (but i was also reffering to a diff site for that section)

I am not aware of rig posting anything helpfull other then replying to most locum nurses in the job forum (again we can look on the web site if we want to see what jobs they have). i am not aware of them posting anything explaining how to become alocum, the dos and donts etc etc.

Hi Spud,

Well the rule in the job section on VetNurse.co.uk is that agencies may only post one job in the most recent ten listed. I set this rule deliberately to ensure that the majority of jobs displayed are direct from veterinary practices.

Agencies that want to display more jobs than that have to upload them to a quite separate list.

thank you arlo for showing an intrest in the posts that we place on here

I have to say that It was not just this site that i was talking about when i said that agencies (not just rig) dominate the job section. there are many out there that are 90% agencies jobs.

i do still feel that rig do not give anything to the nurses of this site as the only time they post is to tell people they have jobs. this we can find out by going on there website if we so wish.

i will go on the new forum and explain to rig the reasons that i have no faith in them
