Thanks for all of the info so far, but am still looking. If anyone knows of a receptionist vacancy in the Warwickshire/Coventry/Rugby or near borders of Warwickshire/ Leicestershire please let me know. I would consider full time, or part time if the number of hours made my travelling worthwhile. I could start pretty much straight away!!!

Hi Jill.

You are right with regards VetsNow , it is usually evenings..but there is some flexibility in that reception staff usually work 6pm till 11 or 12 and some places do a 7pm start, . Weekends though there are usually some day shifts..most clinics it will be Sat 12pm till 6pm day time with an eveing receptionist taking over and sundays variable byt can get whole days 9 till 5 . Def worth checking out. willows is also a good suggestion. You could also take a look at the PDSA website to see if your local hospital has any vacancies :-) Good luck

Hi, Yes I tried for the initial posts advertised but they were inundated with applications. Maybe they thought I live too far away & wasn't serious due to the travelling - but I was!They have suggested that I keep in touch in the future - just in case! Thanks also for trying to help. Everyone is being so kind & it is very much appreciated.

In answer to your question, local "Vets Now" would be Coventry, but "local" vets to me could include Warwickshire, Coventry or parts of Leicestershire as I live close to the Warwickshire/Leicestershire border. I would also consider a position in an animal charity as long as it was paid. Would love to do voluntary, but unfortunately I have bills to pay like everyone else. Thank you for trying to help

Have you considered contacting the Willows in solihull???? as they are opening a new referral centre so may need peeps at either the new hosp or the general practice?

Thanks! Will check it out with my nearest one, but thought that they only worked night shifts & as my husband works some nights & I have a daughter at home that I can't leave on her own over night, that one may be difficult. I will contact them to make sure though. Anyone else have any contacts who may be looking??

Hi, If you have experience and just want some extra hours contact your local VetsNow clinic if you are near one and give them your details ..they frequently need last minute fill-ins or need someone for a regular 4-6 hours a week
