I have not long started another hospital assistant job at a large animal hospital in London, currently I have only been there 2 months. I worked at another large veterinary hospital for nearly a year and a half before this employment too

Re: what would you suggest

If you move you will still be at the bottom of the pile for VN training. Who is to say that you wont end up at another practice waiting another 4 years to do VN training.

If your that eager why not speak to your practice about them paying for the Animal Nursing Assistant certificate. Its a great grounding in VN training.

Thanks

You do not sound happy there.

Re: what would you suggest

Yeh I can train at this job but I have a bit of a wait- approximately 4 years!!

I think this is because they don't have enough money to send more, and do not have enough assessors either which sucks. So therefore there are quite a few girls on the waiting list before me.

Re: what would you suggest

Might look slightly bad altho you have good reason to be moving on, but have you thought about discussing the possibilty of training in your current job. It sounds like they are busy and prob want to retain staff especially at this tough time facing us. I would think that many practices if looking for new memebers of staff would be looking for QVN rather than trainees due to the cost and time involved with training staff. Anyways, goof luck with it and hope you seccure that training position real soon
