For personal health I am considering a change from general practice but still feel like I need to be within the industry.

I did the Blue Cross Pet bereavement course- was interesting but didn't shine anything new that we didn't already do in practice but having a "pet bereavement officer" with the blue cross or other recommended provider in the practice is part of the 'outstanding Practice Standards Scheme". I've just started the Vet nursing consulting certificate with colourful CPD and so far would recommend. My plan is to do the nutrition certificate in the future and really take a hold diet/ weight clinics in consults

RE: Cpd certificates

Perhaps hold for the moment and spend some time thinking about the direction of travel that you would like your career to take. Decent quality courses can be very expensive, particularly if leading to a recognised qualification, as well as very costly of time, and you sound like you are in a state of career flux deciding which route to take next. Some time spent talking through your career with friends but also more widely with others that may have taken alternative pathways may help ensure that you invest wisely - otherwise CPD can be a bit like buying a train ticket without being sure which city you want to visit. Sorry if I have read this wrong, but reading between the lines, you are wanting a new direction but not sure what or which way to turn.

Vet Stay Go Diversify is a Facebook group that has lots of guest speakers who have diversified and I believe Lacey Louise who is a BVNA councillor is heavily involved at the moment with trying to help expand this much more into veterinary nurse diversifying, etc. I diversified years ago into academic (research/teaching) and am now diversifying again (slowly) into statistics/data science but it wasn't cheap to diversify!

RE: Cpd certificates

The ISFM certificates are excellent.
