Just our Live Q&A session to go on Thursday at 19:00 UK time.

They look infected from what I can see. No need to use them in 2,4 or 8, as looks like healthy granulation tissue (hydrogel only needed here). Again just from what I can see as image is a bit small on my iPad. The burns on number 6 I’m not too sure on. And the tissue on 9 is not infected but is quite dry and may need something doing to help that heal?
number 7 is breaking down so likely surgical debridement and management of open wound using honey until infection controlled and then rest itch?

RE: What do you think?

Really great to see your reasoning and seems like you have a pretty good grasp of this to me!

RE: What do you think?

Maybe just 3 actually... not sure about 7. 1 I think is starting to granulate but has the necrotic stuff in the middle, so I'd probably try hydrogel rather than honey. 7 looks like maybe an advancement flap that's breaking down? I don't think I'd use honey there either, I'm assuming it's going necrotic due to lack of blood supply. 3 I'm not even totally sure about, but it looks fresh so I'd want to get rid of all the hair etc. before deciding what to use. Looks like an abrasion injury, maybe from RTA or something? In which case I would use honey, as that's going to be very contaminated.

2,4 and 8 look very healthy to me, would just keep them moist and covered. 9 looks pale... maybe an old wound? 6 and maybe also 5 look like burn wounds to me, I'd keep them clean, moist and covered but still wouldn't use honey.

I'm sure I probably got most of that wrong! Not had much experience with a good range of wounds, we mainly see lacerations so anything else I only know from pictures and CPD.

RE: What do you think?

1,2,3,7 and 8

RE: What do you think?

1,2,3,7 and 8
