We will sell pom-v if client has been seen recently and has a recent weight, other wise we request they come back for a flea/worm check with there vet.

RE: Pom-v drugs

This comes down to your SOP.

For example, this is ours (in short hand).

Clinical and non clinical members of the team (Nurses & Reception) can dispense under these circumstances:

Animals on the Pet Health Plan can have repeat medication that is given under the PHP following the PHP protocol (Flea & Worm Tx)

Animals can have rpt of the EXACT same medication (f/w Tx) if dictated by the vet, i,e vet has wirtten 'can have rpts'

Animals can have a repeat prescription of long term medication if the vet has stated can have rpts AND has stated when the animal needs to be seen again

must be under our care etc

If prescribed by MRCVS and any practice protocol followed.

No legal requirement that a vet present when handed the drug and money changes hands.
