Presently we stitch the catheter in place for 24hrs a let the urine free flow which works but obviously leads to soiling just looking for a way to turn it

RE: Closed urinary Catheter collection

James Colver Cert.
Millpledge have a complete 1 or 2 litre closed urine collection system. It has a 360 degree swivel in the collection line to prevent the line tangling. It also has a luer lock attachment and foley attachment so will fit all urinary catheters. The slide valve at the bottom of the bag means it is easy to empty aseptically too.
this is the link to the drainage bag: http://www.millpledge.com/urine-collection-c2x20263902

Also, agree with comments on slippery sam catheters, they aren’t designed to be left indwelling as the base and catheter are separate components and can come apart.

RE: Closed urinary Catheter collection

Pioneer have some really affordable closed collection systems which look like they're compatible with most catheters!

RE: Closed urinary Catheter collection

James Colver Cert.
