However, I have only ever used Iso. I'm looking for some CPD so I have some sort of knowledge on this if anyone can recommend any? Thanks!

RE: Sevoflurane CPD

ISO MAC 1.3%, Sevo 2.6% Typically need 1.5X so where your dog would be on 2% Iso it will be on 3.5% Sevo

Level of anaesthesia changes more rapidly with sevo and smells better so better to mask down. Depth of anaesthetic can change rapidly. Faster recovery.

N2 can be used 66:33 with oxygen. If your FGF was 3 litres then 1 litre oxygen, 2 litres nitrous. Some use 50:50

Provides analgesia and some muscle relaxation but can't use as sole agent as MAC >100%

Used to be used a lot as cheaper than O2

Need to turn off at least 10 mins before end of Sx, turning off both nitrous and oxygen risks hypoxia or death as nitrous floods out of blood into lungs without O2 supply.

If you shadow an experienced nurse for a day or two, you'll have it sorted.
