I’m looking to test our autoclave. I’ve never used a Bowie Dick test before. Do you just put it in first thing in the morning and run a regular cycle?
Thanks!

RE: Using Bowie Dick Strips to Test Autoclave

are you using tubes or tape or strips? If tubes make sure they have been stored properly pack them as you would if you are packing a kit - run a cycle and open the pack and check the colour change against the chart. We used to use them routinely every run where I worked in the past, or if not the tubes you can stick either an indicator strip or even a bit of tape inside a pack - run your cycle then open your pack and check for colour change
