Absolutely this. If a company is throwing free trials at people you've got to wonder about the quality of the ingredients in their food.

If we practice evidence-based medicine we should practice evidence-based nutrition. I only recommend theraputic diets that have done clinical trials. To be fair many premium brand lifestage diets dont undergo clinical trials but they take technology and research from their theraputic diets to put into their life stages, so you know it's good quality.

Many mid-range food manufacturers will give claims like "90% of dogs experienced better skin and coat after eating our diet!" But they wont specify what the dog was eating before their diet. If they were on some absolute junk like Pedigree of course their skin and coat would get better on a slightly improved diet, but that doesnt necessarily mean it's a top quality food. Nor have they done trials to see how it affects the pet long-term. Loads of fat and salt so they love to eat it and their skin and coat is all shiny? Hooray! But 5 years later they're fat, have greasy fur and renal disease...

If a company makes a claim, ask them to back it up with data. If they cant, steer clear

I had three of my dogs on it and initially was very impressed. They ate up well and looked good. However, over time, the price does increase and is not that favourable with other leading dog food brands, especially if you are working in practice and get things at cost.

What put me off eventually, is they throw free trials at all and everyone, after the free trial you get more free trial and if you refer people you get lots of money off. This is all great in the beginning but once you've exhausted your trials and referrals, you really notice the actual price.

I also wonder how tailored it actually is? Of course fitted to suit life stage and life style, but to what extent otherwise? I don't recommend it anymore and would rather buy off the shelf nowadays.

I have a few of my nurse clinic clients on it, one of my long term weight clinic dogs moved on to tails.com and within a month no longer needed weight clinic and the dogs coat improved. I was very reserved about it but after seeing the change with this collie. Im impressed.

We did the 6 month free trial and my dog loves it, we opted for the GI sensitivity option and her stools have really improved! She used to be a really fussy eater but now she pretty much eats a full bowl every meal. When you sign up you do a quiz on all your dog's health conditions and allergies and it will tailor the food to those needs. Free delivery too!

tried it, dogs didn't get in with it. was a pain as it worked out both dogs needed different food. and i don't believe its is tailored to each dog individually.

Did the 6 months free thingy and get dry food - have loads left as feed my dog tinned and dry. Not sure if my girl is the most discerning when it comes to food as she’s lab cross so probs would eat an old boot if it was put in her bowl!

I've just finished my 6 month free trial and one of my dogs loved it but the other walked away from her bowl and never are any of it!

I loved the free delivery so we never ran out too.

3 of us at the practice use it. There is a very good VN discount if you ring up, was 50% for 6 months at one point

Seems good food.
