I do some of mine this way but there are also some of the coursera courses online which are relevant to us (and low cost or free)

VetCPD do some good on line training. Worth 8hr. £150/course. Variety subjects.

I'm interested to hear the responses here. I'm an RVN who is non-practicing but has retained my R as I am in an allied field and also would like to keep my knowledge current. I am based outside the UK in the second of 2 small countries with no formal nursing registry. We are a minimum of $1000 US away from the nearest seminar based CPD. I note the RCVS wants us to switch to 15 hours a year as opposed to a rolling 45 over 3 years; and also that while vets can register as practicing outside the UK (not sure if that brings concessions), nurses can't. All in all, it makes life difficult.

Yes I will be returning to the UK after. It’s a different qualification here they use so I’m not sure if it matters or not about being on the UK register. I probably will stay on though :)

Will you not be returning to nursing when you come back to the Uk? Personally I’d maintain my registration. Also if you are undertaking veterinary nursing tasks out in Australia do you not need to be registered anyway?
