Sorry to hijack this thread. Our practice has been loaned a reconditioned Nuffield 200 and I missed the demo meeting - would either of you be kind enough to give me a brief summary of how it works, plus any pointers / tips that might be useful? With thanks! (P.S. I have never used a ventilator before!)

RE: Ventilators

You can still get Nuffield 200 vents though some second-hand equipment suppliers e.g. SouthWest medical.

Otherwise I would suggest the Vetronics merlin ventilator. Their website has lots of info and Keith the owner/designer is very helpful and knowledgeable.

We'd like to make ventilator use something that all of our RVN's are confident with under controlled conditions so that it can be used anytime during OOH also. Many thanks,

RE: Ventilators

What size patients do you want to be able to ventilate and do you need any additional features.
