By undertaking cpd in this field of work then you are more likely to be successful at gaining this type of position

It sounds like my perfect job but I've applied for similar positions that have gone to human radiographers because VNs just don't get the constant experience. Is there a way around this in 1st opinion?

I have Lavins book, it’s great, actually find it a lot better for positioning help than the BSAVA. Thinking of also getting the practical guide too!

I agree with Nick in the sense that there's nothing quite like practice and experience.... If you ever fancy coming and spending a day or so with us in Cambridge, we take visitors and you can spend some time working on cases with us we are a team of human radiographers and VN's and you could pick up some useful tips... let me know if you'd like any more information (:

hi jo ive just returned to nursing after 7.5 years as an Assistant Practitioner in the NHS working in radiography. Couldn’t afford to go to uni full time to train as a radiographer. Veterinary practice has always been a passion of mine. I now combine the two by running the CT service for my current practice in the future id like to learn mri. Any questions feel free to ask away.

its all about practice. Asking the vets to let you get involved. but there are a few course out there. The BSAVA did run a merit award last year. The RVC are running a similar course this year.
