Me and another colleague were discussing which way round would be better for the patient in order to help retain heat. Would it be socks then bubble wrap booties or the other way round. Any advice would be welcomed!
Many thanks

Sorry meant to add always bubble wrap first, then socks.

RE: Bubble Wrap Booties

Yep, keep the extremities warm and the core will keep constant,

RE: Bubble Wrap Booties

Hi,

I believe it's best to use bubble wrap first then socks. This is because to have the highest insulating properties you want the air pockets to be closest to where you're trying to keep warm.

Hope this helps x

RE: Bubble Wrap Booties

I do bubble wrap then socks- had a greyhound dental today that was 37.3 when induced (under heat lamp when premeded) and woke up with a temp of 38 after a long GA. He had a warm air blanket and foil plus 2 other blankets but I reckon it was his toastie toes that kept him warm!
