Thank you for good answer, I will suggest that to the pharmacy manager about contacting another practice to come and dispose of it for us . Oh yes well recorded and checked weekly. Our pharmacy is locked and vets not allowed in !!

We've just been inspected by the VMD and then Practice Standards in the last 12 months and it was agreed a Vet from an non affiliated practice can come and dispose of the Ketamine into a DOOM kit and sign it out of your well recorded scheduled medication book

there are only a few police officers in any given area that can witness disposal. I know because I made this mistake last year when I asked somebody from the cop shop across the car park to witness disposal. Could you ask a vet from another practice to witness disposal and you do the same for them in return? We keep our broached bottles and label what is left in them and then get rid in a batch
