Personally with seresto (depending on your cat I guess) I find they get lost quite easily but the reps have said that if you tell them when a collar has gone walkabouts they will replace it as long as you don't take the biscuit.

Might have to look into comfortis! Makes me slightly uncomfortable that it's a flea tablet for cats and dogs though, it just goes against everything I've had ingrained into me so far :P

Have used comfortis in a few patients - usually flea allergic ones as the speed of kill is very useful there, or where the cat sleeps in bed with the owner. Haven't had any complaints or reactions.... I would use it in my cat if she wasn't such a pain to give tablets to!

Comfortis speed of kill is pretty insane - 30 minutes and the fleas are dying. It's a little spooky, actually.

We have quite a few cats on Comfortis and it seems to do what it says on the label! Kills fleas really quickly, the halo of dead fleas around an infested cat sat in kennels can be quite spectacular! Really good for flea allergic animals. Occasionally causes vomitting (mainly dogs) but manufacturers will replace wasted tablet.

I have never used Comfortis either hence the question mark - in fact I haven't come across anybody who has been using it in cats yet - like yourself I would be interested if anybody can report back on efficacy. Yep you are right on the Capstar its only a short term solution but if you have an indoor cat and you manage the environmental side its quite good (not always so good if you work in a practice with lots of flea ridden animals tho as there is always the risk you will take a 'itchhiker' home with you)

I've never used Comfortis so I wasn't sure if it actually worked.

Also haven't used Capstar in years, does that have a lasting effect? I remember using it before putting a dog on Program Plus to kill any fleas that they had but didn't think it lasted any time?
