Does Metronidazole injectable need to be covered from sunlight as I am hearing conflicting evidence?

Whether this is correct or not I don't know, just passing on something that has been told to me recently! Happy to be corrected

RE: Metronidazole Injectable

hello :)

yes metronidazole infection needs to be protected from sunlight, if opened from the outer covering it must be wrapped in a material that prevents light from reaching it.

I hope this has helped

"6.4 Special precautions for storage

Keep container in the outer carton in order to protect from light."
